Footballers have a lot to thank Britannia for after the UK’s second largest mutual and its football fanatic customers have netted more than £20 million for their clubs in the last eight years
This season alone, thirteen clubs have shared a massive £3.5 million, helping loyal fans really give something back to the team they follow.
The Britannia Save and Support accounts and football club mortgages allow fans to pledge to help their beloved club, great news at a time when many are also giving something back to fans by promising to freeze their ticket prices.
The Premiership, Championship and League One teams which Britannia’s borrowers and savers can help are Arsenal, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Chelsea, Everton, Ipswich, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Port Vale, Stoke City, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur.
Tim Franklin, managing director of member business at Britannia says: “Britannia is the leading financial provider in this market and it is absolutely fantastic that we are able to return such huge bonuses to the clubs. For example, since the Stoke City Save and Support account was introduced in 1996, Britannia has given them a massive £4.8 million.
