Taureans top survey of most accident-prone star signs

18 January, 2007

Those of us who wish to steer clear of danger might avoid walking under a ladder. However, for those Taureans out there it really could make the difference between arriving safely and coming a cropper

According to statistics from B&CE Insurance, Taurus is the most accident-prone star sign in the Zodiac. B&CE discovered that Taureans made up a significant 11 per cent of all claimants for their RapidCash personal accident insurance cover.

Petr Cech, the Czech international footballer who is currently the goalkeeper for Chelsea, is a recent example of a famous injured Taurus. Taureans are typically known for being laidback, which could be why they do not take the necessary precautions to avoid injuries.

Aquarians, Geminis and Leos all come a close second with 9 per cent, as famous footballing Leo Thierry Henry may agree, who recently suffered a neck injury whilst playing football for Arsenal.

The statistics also show that Arians and Virgos are the least likely star signs to have an accident each accounting for only 7 per cent of B&CE’s claims. Although Arians are thought to have a confident, energetic and adventurous character, they must see danger coming! Virgos on the other hand are diligent, analytical, and controlled, which is probably why they are one of the least accident prone zodiac signs!

Brian Griffiths, chief executive, B&CE, (a Libra) comments: “Many of us go about our daily lives without much of a thought for the perils that may lie ahead, believing that if we take suitable precautions then we’ll arrive at the end of the day generally unscathed. However, it seems that as careful as we might be our fate is written in the stars.

“For those Taureans out there, it may be worth them taking a step back and assessing the path ahead before charging forward. Or, if they take unnecessary risks as is suggested, then perhaps consider a personal accident policy such as RapidCash. Our policy will cover them 24 hours a day, including time spent playing sport. It won’t protect them from future scrapes but will ease the financial pain should they injure themselves and need cash if they have to take time off work.”
