Give your energy headache a break

15 January, 2007

With the New Year bringing news of further energy price hikes, the onus is most definitely resting on finding the cheapest supplier for your household utilities

In light of this, moneysupermarket.com has announced that it will give £30 cash-back to all customers who switch to a ‘dual fuel’ tariff through its service. Dual fuel means that you are supplied with both gas and electricity from the same provider, although those customers who choose to make just a single switch with benefit from a payment of £17.50.

The head of utilities at moneysupermarket.com, Paul Schofield, comments: “As consumers ourselves, we are fed up with the charges being levied by the utilities companies for using these essential services – the amount of profit made by providers is huge, set against a backdrop of falling wholesale prices. Our new offer aims to highlight the savings and help break down some of the apathy.”
